Central Coast Council, Mayor and Councillors

The Central Coast Council is represented by 15 Councillors who were elected for a 4-year term, until September 2028.
A Councillor’s role as an elected representative is to provide an essential link between the community and Council. Councillors must work as a team to make decisions and policies that guide the activities of the council.

    Dam! It’s good to be prepared
    On Wednesday 22 October, we joined Water NSW, NSW State Emergency Service and other emergency services and support agencies to run through a comprehensive emergency simulation exercise responding to a hypothetical incident at Mardi Dam.

    Temporary closure - Terrigal Rock Pool
    Works notice Terrigal Rock Pool (located on the south end of Terrigal Beach at base of boardwalk) will be temporarily closed to allow for urgent works on Tuesday 28 October from 7:30am – 5pm.The works will include removal of some of the natural rock which is cracking to ensure ongoing community safety.Thanks for your patience during this time.

    Gorokan (Helen Reserve) Dog Park will be temporarily closed from 30 October to 20 November to allow for improvement works of re-turfing and its establishment.Find alternative off leash locations.

    New Regional Library hosts HSC Lock-in events to support local students
    An impressive turnout of students gathered at the new Gosford Regional Library in October for a special series of HSC Lock-in events designed to support young people during one of the most intense periods of their academic journey.The events offered extended library hours until 8pm, creating a welcoming and focused environment with quiet study spaces, free snacks and drinks, wellbeing support packs from Headspace, and a dedicated relaxation room complete with yoga mats and strength cards.
