Central Coast Council’s Water and Sewer team are working with our contractors to complete an extensive works program to make sure water and sewer infrastructure in the Gosford CBD can keep pace with growth over the next 30 years.The project will provide a reliable water service to the Gosford CBD to meet the demands of new developments and deliver the vision of Gosford as the capital of the Central Coast.

Libraries are at the heart of creating liveable, connected and sustainable cities. The Gosford Regional Library is set to become a central meeting point for locals and visitors alike, creating a true drawcard to the city centre. The vision for the first Regional Library for the Central Coast is to create an iconic building in the heart of the Gosford CBD where our community can connect, create and collaborateLibrary FeaturesCreated over four spacious levels, it will have all the functions you expect from a library but with so much more.

We are excited to announce that the renewed Visitor Information Centre at The Entrance is open to the public.We prioritised this important project to upgrade to a multipurpose facility and improve toilets and accessibility that will not only help to drive tourism and economic spend, but also be a year-round space for locals to enjoy.The completed multipurpose facility includes:an interactive Visitor Information Centrenew and modern amenities including include male, female and unisex toilets, a parents room, a 24/7 adult accessible change facility (AACF) and event toiletsimproved layout and decking for community and visitor usea dedicated space for local makers and creators to entice visitors to take home something from the Coasta bookable function area with a modern event space and purpose-built green roomBenefits for the communityBy creating an inviting and vibrant hub for locals and tourists to find key information we will increase the uptake of day trips, overnight stays and consequent spending, which is vital for the continued growth of our region’s economy.

This project is now complete and ready for you to enjoy - check out the photos of the new spaces and head to Umina to play and stay active What's happening?Council is redeveloping several areas within the Peninsula Recreation and Active Lifestyle Precinct (formerly known as Umina Recreation Area) to provide functional, accessible, and engaging sporting and recreation infrastructure for the benefit of the community.  The Peninsula community has strongly supported plans for Council to further enhance Umina’s sporting and recreation precinct and this goal is becoming a reality.Funding from the Australian Government for $8,250,000 under the Community Development Grant program is enabling Council to deliver revitalised sports and recreation infrastructure based on the community’s vision and needs.

Central Coast Council continues to deliver a range of grant funded road and drainage upgrade and renewal projects under the Federal Government’s Central Coast Roads Package.Project update:

Central Coast Council has received $40 million from the Australian Government to deliver a Central Coast Local Roads Package, following a 2022 Labor election commitment.  The funding package will see the delivery of 46 individual projects to be carried out over a four-year period, from 2023/24 to 2026/27.Projects will involve 45 Road Pavement Upgrades and one Road and Drainage Upgrade which will benefit roads across the Central Coast.
