Central Coast Council regularly asks the community to help strategically plan through a range of advisory groups and committees.
Committees, panels and advisory groups assist Council with strategic issues and projects.
Advisory committees
Central Coast Council’s Advisory Committees are committees that continue in existence across successive council terms to manage issues that are of ongoing importance to the region.
Standing committees
The Standing Committees are made up of Councillors, chaired by the Mayor or a Councillor, run in accordance with standard procedures and are accessible to the public. However, some committee meetings are confidential, such as those involving commercially sensitive issues. The Mayor is automatically a member of all committees.
The Standing Committees make recommendations on matters related to the responsibility of the committee. Minutes are submitted to Council for consideration as Standing Committee recommendations require a formal resolution by Council.
