Join us to celebrate National Tree Day on Sunday 30 July at our community planting events at Killcare Beach and Porters Creek Wetland, Wyong.

National Tree Day is initiative led by Planet Ark, who aim to plant one million trees across Australia this year - with our local planting events contributing to this goal.

This year you can also enjoy a range of educational workshops, kids’ activities including animal displays, and live music supported by Central Coast Music. Food and drinks will also be available to keep you refreshed whilst you get your hands dirty and help your local environment.

Killcare Beach

  • 9am-1pm
  • Meet at Beach Drive, Killcare (the park at the south end of beach)
  • Register on arrival or pre-register online here

The Killcare Beach event will focus on stabilising sand dunes against wind and water erosion.

Porters Creek Wetland

  • 9am-1pm
  • Meet at Wyong Christian Community School carpark, Alison Road, Wyong.
  • Register on arrival or pre-register online here

The Porters Creek event will highlight the importance of protecting our largest remaining freshwater wetland, which plays an important role in water quality of the Tuggerah Lakes and is home to several threatened species.

Please ensure your wear enclosed footwear and appropriate protective clothing including hat and gloves.
