Central Coast Council’s biennial EMERGING art prize for early career artists will be announced at Gosford Regional Gallery on 3 February 2023, as part of this year’s EMERGING exhibition.

Central Coast Council will extend the public exhibition period of the new Plan of Management for Council community land as public hearings are set to get underway in early February.After taking account of the level of community interest in the process, the public exhibition period for the Plan of Management will be extended for an extra week until Tuesday 1 March 2023.A series of independent public hearings will start on Wednesday 1 February, with two hearings to be held at Wyong Administration Centre and other hearings at community venues in The Entrance, Erina and Woy Woy.  Interested members of the community are urged to pre-register to help manage seating capacity on the night.

Central Coast Council has been named a finalist in the “Marketing and Communications for Impact Award” category in the Banksia Foundation’s 34th National Banksia Sustainability Awards.

In response to feedback from local community members, Central Coast Council Administrator, Rik Hart, has asked Council’s CEO, David Farmer, to pause negotiations between Council and any prospective owner of the commuter carpark at Woy Woy train station until after the NSW State Election.

Community members are invited to view and have their say on the draft Woy Woy Peninsula Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan, which will be placed on public exhibition for a period of four weeks commencing Wednesday 18 January 2023 to Wednesday 15 February 2023.
