Notice: information for visitors to The Entrance, 3-10 December 2024
A large-scale, externally run event (Rolling Sets) is being held at The Entrance Memorial Park Saturday 7 December 2024, 11am-10pm. As this is not a Council run event, please direct any event enquiries to the event organisers via info@rollingsets.com.au.What impact will occur to the local roads? Memorial Park Car Park will be closed from 3-10 DecemberHalf closure of Coral Street from Duffy’s Lane from 3-9 December , with traffic being diverted out on Duffy’s Lane.

Celebrating International Day of People with Disability
International Day of People with Disability is a United Nations observed day held annually on 3 December, aimed at raising understanding and acceptance of people with a disability.More than 1-5 Australians or 5.5 million people, identify as having a disability. Today, we celebrate International Day of People with Disability by partnering with the globally recognised Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program.

Council office closures Friday 6 December 2024 (Union Picnic Day)
Central Coast Council offices will be closed on Friday 6 December 2024 for a Local Government State Award approved Union Picnic Day, and will re-open Monday 9 December 2024.Some of Council’s services and facilities will be closed or have changes, however essential services will continue to operate.Customer service and reporting of issuesCustomer Service Centres and Council’s Administration Building at Wyong will be closed Friday 6 December and re-open Monday 9 December 2024.The Service Desks at Woy Woy library and the Visitor’s Centre at the Entrance will also be closed.Urgent reports - We have an out-of-hours service available on 02 4306 7900 to call in any urgent reports such as water main breaks, sewer issues or urgent road safety issues (such as fallen trees over roads).Non-urgent - Customers can contact Council with non-emergency enquiries, requests, reporting issues or formal feedback 24/7 through our online Customer Service Centre.

Council office closures over Christmas and New Year (2024-25)
Central Coast Council offices will be closed over the Christmas and New Year holiday period from Monday 23 December 2024 to Friday 3 January 2025, and re-opening Monday 6 January 2025 (with Customer Service Centres from Tuesday 7 January 2025) .Some of Council’s services and facilities will be closed or have changes, however essential services will continue to operate.Customer service and reporting of issuesAll Customer Service Centres will be closed during the Christmas and New Year closure period. On Monday 6 January 2025, Council’s Customer Service team will undertake a staff development and mandatory training day.

Children’s Picture Book ‘Every Day I like to Play’ aims to help children understand respectful relationships
A children’s picture book, developed by Central Coast Council, to promote respectful relationships and break down gendered stereotypes of traditional roles within the home, will be launched at a special event in Kibble Park on 5 December 2024.The launch of ‘Every Day I Like to Play’ on Thursday 5 December, coincides with the annual ‘16 days of Activism against gender-based violence’ campaign.Central Coast Council works with the local Central Coast Domestic Violence Committee (CCDVC), a community group aiming to prevent, reduce and eliminate domestic and family violence, through education, awareness, advocacy and community engagement.During 2023 and 2024, Council worked with the CCDV Committee to develop the children’s book.

The Lakes Festival 2024 – our biggest program yet!
Now in its ninth year, Central Coast Council’s annual Lakes Festival has established itself as an iconic event, drawing over 20,000 attendees. Spanning 10 days in November, this year’s event was Council’s biggest program yet, proudly showcasing and celebrating the region’s magnificent waterways to locals and travellers alike. The festival not only brought the community together but also injected an estimated $6.5million into the local economy.Big events like this are a driving force for our local economy, creating jobs and providing a significant boost to local businesses.
