Central Coast Council is excited to welcome the CommBank Matildas to Gosford for an international football friendly against New Zealand’s Football Ferns.

The match will take place at polytec Stadium on Friday 28 November 2025, kick-off at 7.30pm. This is the first of a two-match series during the FIFA Women’s International Window and is expected to draw fans from across the region and beyond.

Central Coast Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said it is a fabulous achievement to have secured the Commbank Matildas match.

“The Central Coast is a sport-loving region, and we are fortunate to have a thriving women’s sports community with an enormous supporter base,” Mayor McKinna said.

“This is an incredible opportunity for local and visiting football fans to experience an international match between two elite teams, right here on the Central Coast.

“The Matildas’ visit is important for bringing a fantastic night of football to the Coast, and for the community spirit it will inspire. 

“So, grab your friends, get your tickets early and don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to see two elite teams go to battle right here on the Central Coast.”
