    New lighting and facility upgrades complete at Terrigal BMX track
    The completion of lighting and facility upgrades at Terrigal BMX track was officially marked today with a site visit by Member for Robertson Dr Gordon Reid MP, Council Mayor Lawrie McKinna, Councillor Sharon Walsh, Councillor Belinda Neal and representative from Terrigal BMX Club Luke Birch.Delivered by Central Coast Council and funded by the Australian Government through the Investing in Our Communities Program, the $210,000 project includes new LED lighting, a covered structure adjacent to the clubhouse, refurbished bathrooms and canteen, sandstone block seating and landscaped spectator areas, new access paths and sustainable features such as a water refill station and stormwater drainage.Central Coast Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said the upgrades make the precinct safer, more accessible and better equipped for riders, spectators and the wider community.“These improvements respond directly to how the space is used, from daily training and weekend riding to hosting large-scale events,” Ms Smith said.“Upgraded amenities and lighting support year-round use, while the new covered area creates a much-needed space for coaching, events and shelter from weather.”The Federal Member for Robertson, Dr Gordon Reid MP said he was pleased to be part of a government that is committed to delivering vital community infrastructure. “This Federal funding ensures our local kids have the facilities needed to engage in positive participation,” Dr Reid said.“Terrigal BMX is fantastic local organisation, and these upgrades will ensure they can meet growing demand.

    Central Coast Council has delivered a $210,000 upgrade to Terrigal BMX track, funded by the Australian Government through the Investing in Our Communities Program.The project includes:new LED lightinga covered area beside the clubhouserefurbished bathrooms and canteensandstone block seating and landscaped spectator zonesimproved access pathssustainable features such as a water refill station and stormwater drainage.These upgrades have made the precinct safer, more accessible and more functional for riders, spectators and the wider community.Designed to reflect how the space is used, from daily training and weekend rides to major events—the improvements support year-round use and create a better experience for everyone.

    Works notice: repairs to existing coastal protection works, Wamberal Beach
    Issued 6.11pm Monday 30 June 2025. Council will be carrying out repairs to existing coastal protection works at Wamberal Beach tomorrow morning (Tues 1 July). These works have been co-ordinated through the instruction of Local Emergency Operations Controller (LEOCON) to help stabilise vulnerable areas in response to warnings issued by the Bureau of Meteorology today. Works will occur on the beach area in the vicinities of:
