30/06/2025Central Coast Council has delivered a $210,000 upgrade to Terrigal BMX track, funded by the Australian Government through the Investing in Our Communities Program.
The project includes:
- new LED lighting
- a covered area beside the clubhouse
- refurbished bathrooms and canteen
- sandstone block seating and landscaped spectator zones
- improved access paths
- sustainable features such as a water refill station and stormwater drainage.
These upgrades have made the precinct safer, more accessible and more functional for riders, spectators and the wider community.
Designed to reflect how the space is used, from daily training and weekend rides to major events—the improvements support year-round use and create a better experience for everyone. The new covered structure provides much-needed shelter for coaching, events and protection from the weather.
The project directly benefits the Terrigal BMX Club and the community, helping the club grow its membership, attract larger competitions and support riders of all ages and abilities.
With capacity to now host events for 600 to 800 people, the upgraded site is expected to boost club revenue and support local businesses. A new finish line equipped with a transponder timing system further strengthens the track’s potential as a regional BMX destination.
These works align with Council’s Community Strategic Plan, supporting access to high-quality sport and recreation facilities for a growing, active community.
We’re committed to creating welcoming outdoor spaces that encourage people to stay active and get involved. Come down to the track, join the club or try out a new sport - you might just find something you love.
