In 1954 the 27-year-old reigning monarch made her first visit to Australia with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh and toured extensively on their 58-day royal tour.
Central Coast Council joined the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) and other emergency services and support agencies on Friday 9 September 2022 at the Central Coast Fire Control Centre at Charmhaven to run through a mock emergency incident exercise to continue to improve our response in readiness of future natural disaster events.The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) coordinated an Incident Management Exercise (IMX) to establish a learning environment for participants to exercise and test their emergency response capabilities.
Road rehabilitation works have commenced on Wisemans Ferry Road which is expected to impact residents and motorists for approximately six weeks from 24 August (weather and circumstances dependent).Ongoing severe weather events in February, March and July of this year have impacted several sites along Wisemans Ferry Road, causing dangerous road conditions such as embankment failures, minor landslips and significant pavement damage.

Get Active San Remo & Blue Haven is an exciting new initiative developed in partnership between Council, the Office of Sport, and Central Coast Health Promotion Service that encourages the community to be more physically active and participate in sport, active recreation, and physical activity.Based on community feedback (through a community survey and face-to-face consultation) a calendar of sport, active recreation and physical activity opportunities will be developed and promoted to the community to raise awareness of local providers and opportunities to Get Active in October 2022 and beyond.If you would like to get involved and can provide sport, active recreation or physical activity opportunities in the San Remo, Blue Haven or surrounding areas, we would love to discuss this opportunity with you and help you to be involved.There are many benefits to being part of this project including increased awareness of your services in the community, contributing to improving the lives of community members, the potential to secure new participants and volunteers and the opportunity to gain a valuable insight into what the community is looking for in a sporting club or active recreation provider.If you are interested and would like to know more about this project, or have any questions, please contact – adam.kidd@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au
We are pleased to have announced a $935,000 grant has been received from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund to build a new community hall at Norah Head, with preliminary plans now available to view and open for community consultation.
