24/04/2025Central Coast Council is inviting residential and business customers to have your say on future water and sewer service improvement options, and what you would be willing to pay for those services.
Central Coast Council Director Water and Sewer, Jamie Loader said customer feedback will guide water and sewer service delivery and pricing structure.
“We recently asked our community about their water and sewer priorities, and discovered their top values—good quality water, quality treatment of sewage and reliable service,” Mr Loader said.
"Now we need to know how they would like to balance future services options and prices.
“This is our customers’ opportunity to influence their services and future water rates for our next pricing structure.
“We are also working with industry and community groups to ensure we hear from a wide range of voices within our community.”
Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna encourages everyone to have their say on the future water and sewer service improvement options currently on public exhibition to ensure a better outcome for the community.
“Water and sewer services directly impact our community’s daily lives,” Mayor McKinna said.
“By participating in our engagement activities, you can help inform Council’s decision-making process and ensure future services reflect your needs, priorities and expectations.”
Why your input matters
Building on previous engagement activities across 2023-2024, new feedback will impact future service and water charges. It will also help shape investment decisions for the next IPART pricing proposal impacting services in 2026–2031 and Council’s upcoming Water and Sewer Masterplan. Price changes resulting from this consultation, in addition to standard price increases, will take effect on 1 July 2026.
