Central Coast Council is inviting the local community to check out the recently upgraded Lake Haven Recreation Centre during an open day on Saturday 2 March.

The whole family is welcome to try out any of the programs and facilities the centre has to offer for free including indoor sports courts, fitness classes, fully equipped gym, outdoor courts and the climbing wall.

There will also be plenty of sports and fun events, inflatables, stalls, activities, prizes and more.

Mayor Jane Smith said Council was excited to officially reveal the new improvements to the community.

“Council recently invested over $300,000 worth of upgrades including new gym equipment and infrastructure works at the Centre,” Mayor Smith said.

“Additional upgrades are planned before the end of the financial year, which include works to the roof, change room improvements and upgrades to the outdoor fitness area.

“It’s great to be able to share this versatile facility with the community and offer everyone an opportunity to explore the Centre at their own pace and take advantage of the free activities and great offers available.

“The upgrade highlights how Council is delivering on its promise to provide more enhanced recreational facilities for our growing community.

“Everyone is welcome to the open day and we look forward to seeing you there.”

Visitors that sign up for a new membership before the end of March can save up to $150 with one month’s free membership and zero joining fee, plus will receive a free backpack and drink bottle.

Resident’s that are unable to attend the open day can take advantage of a free day pass (available to download online) for casual court use, fitness classes and the gym.
