Central Coast Council’s draft Community Strategic Plan, Delivery Program, Operational Plan and resourcing strategies are now on exhibition for community feedback until 2 June 2025.

The plans respond to the community’s vision to “strengthen and support our community, protect our environment and create an inclusive, prosperous and accessible place to live, work and thrive, for today and for future generations".

The draft Community Strategic Plan 2025-2035, ‘This is Our Future, Our Central Coast’, is a 10-year road map representing over two years of consultation and engagement and outlines community priorities under the themes of ‘Our People, Our Environment, Our Place, Our Economy and Our Leadership’.

The accompanying draft four-year Delivery Program, one-year Operational Plan and resourcing strategies have been developed to enable the delivery of the community vision. The Long-Term Financial Plan carefully considers the measures needed to ensure a sustainable financial future.

Key projects proposed in the draft plans include the completion of the Gosford Regional Library, construction of a new animal care facility and improving connectivity through building shared pathways.

Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said that the draft plans were produced in consultation with Councillors.

“The Community Strategic Plan describes our residents’ long-term vision for the future, and demonstrates our collaborative approach to planning and resourcing,” Mayor McKinna said.

“Our draft plans reflect both the community’s and Councillors’ priorities, ensure people have an active role in shaping their future, assign resources to services and activities and show how we’ll report progress.

“I encourage everyone to view the draft plans, understand what’s proposed for your area, and have your say.”

The draft plans will be on public exhibition from 1 May to 2 June 2025 and engagement sessions will be held at locations across the Central Coast throughout May, where you can talk with Council staff.

Times and locations can be found on Your Voice Our Coast where you can also make an online submission.

Following consideration of all submissions, the updated plans will be referred to Council before adoption in June.
