The Legends of League tournament, with a show of support from Central Coast Council, will be back at Central Coast Stadium again in November for six hours of action-packed, old school rugby league.

The tournament will see six teams battle it out for the Legends of League title and $100,000 worth of prize money. The Legends of League organisers will also be donating a percentage of the gate takings to the Mark Hughes Foundation.

Central Coast Mayor Jane Smith said that Council are pleased to be sponsors of the tournament, as it will provide a big boost for the Stadium and the Central Coast.

“Due to the success of last year’s event, we are confident there will be a lot of support for the tournament this year, and I am looking forward to seeing members of the Central Coast community come out and rally behind these old-school league champions.

“We are hopeful that it will become a regular item on the Stadium’s calendar, and we will continue to invest in upgrades to the Stadium to ensure it continues to attract big name events – such as Legends of League – for our community to enjoy.”

Legends returning for their second year include Wendell Sailor, Steve Menzies, Danny Buderus, Nathan Hindmarsh, Andrew Ryan, Gorden Tallis and Willie Mason. Other household names who have signed up include Scott Prince, Matt Bowen, Luke Patten, Tonie Carroll, Roy Asotasi, Darren Albert and Nathan Blacklock.

The Legends of League will be at Central Coast Stadium on 17 November, 2018 with the gates opening at 12pm.
