Our newest Community Champion is 12-year-old Billy Isaacs. To date, Billy is the youngest person to be acknowledged as a Central Coast Community Champion.

On behalf of our community, I’d like to recognise his significant achievements and efforts in helping others by acknowledging him as a Central Coast Community Champion.

Billy, from Lisarow High School, created a fundraising event for Central Coast Kids in Need (CCKIN) – an organisation supporting families with sick kids with financial assistance for medication, equipment, travel, and accommodation.

He named his event ‘Billt Different’ and set himself a goal to break the world record and become the youngest person ever to complete a 100 mile (160.9km) run.

On 24 May 2025, after training for more than 10 months, Billy ran over 403 laps of the Mingara athletics track at Tumbi Umbi and achieved his goal at the age of 12 years, four months. I appreciate the incredible effort, determination and grit he needed for this, and on behalf of the Central Coast community, I’d like to congratulate him on his outstanding achievement.

Billy has demonstrated compassion, concern for others and a dedication to doing what it takes to achieve his dreams. Billy is a very worthy recipient, and he has our gratitude and appreciation.

The Central Coast Community Champion initiative honours people who, through exceptional effort and commitment, make a difference to the lives of others.
