Hinterland highlights at Harvest Festival

We’re truly fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world that stretches from the mountains to the sea. While we enjoy our beaches in summer, winter is a great time to discover our hinterland.

The annual Harvest Festival offers locals and visitors the opportunity to explore rural communities and villages over the June long weekend, with exciting things to do and see at Mangrove Mountain, Peats Ridge, Somersby, Calga, Jilliby, Dooralong, Yarramalong and more.

Pick your own fruit and nuts, enjoy farm gate experiences, sample food and wine, take a workshop, visit nurseries and listen to live music. You might even spot a platypus on Platypus Day!

So much care and enthusiasm has gone into creating this festival that grows in strength and variety each year.

There’s free family fun at Wyong Creek Public School’s Fun Day and Mangrove Creek Dam Day Out. And a visit the Somersby Country Women’s Association for an iconic Devonshire tea is a must!

Try a ‘Taste of Wyong’ in the town centre, where you can enjoy $5 tasting boxes from local eateries.

Ticketed events including the iconic Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival, Bambinos on the Farm, sunflower picking at The Bloom Barn and more – be sure to book early!

Tourism is so important to our local economy, so why not encourage friends and family from out of town to visit and join you for an amazing Harvest Festival experience.

A big thank you to the producers, vendors and partners for throwing open the gates, doors and paddocks to give us a glimpse of what you do every day.
