Council office closures Friday 5 December (Union Picnic Day)

Central Coast Council offices will be closed on Friday 5 December 2025 for a Local Government State Award-approved Union Picnic Day and will re-open Monday 8 December 2025.
Some of Council’s services and facilities will be closed or have changes, however essential services will continue to operate.
Customer service and reporting of issues
- Customer Service Centres and Council’s Administration Building at Wyong will be closed Friday 5 December and re-open Monday 8 December.
- Urgent reports - We have an out-of-hours service available on 4306 7900 to call in any urgent reports such as water main breaks, sewer issues or urgent road safety issues (such as fallen trees over roads).
- Non-urgent - Customers can contact Council with non-emergency enquiries, requests, reporting issues or formal feedback 24/7 through our online Customer Service Centre. These will be progressed by our Customer Service Team from Monday 8 December, during business hours.
Early Childhood Education and Care Centres
- All centres will be closed on Friday 5 December and re-open for families on Monday 8 December. This has been communicated to all families.

Gosford Regional Gallery
- Gosford Regional Gallery, including the café and Edogawa Commemorative Garden, will be open.

Laycock Street Community Theatre
- Laycock Street Community Theatre will be open for performances only.

Leisure centres, gyms and pools
- Wyong Pool will be open from 6-9.30am then closed for the remainder of the day.
- All other pools, leisure centres and gyms will be open. Refer to each facility web page for more information.
- 24-hour gym access is available at Peninsula Leisure Centre and Lake Haven Recreation Centre with appropriate access tag.

Libraries
- All libraries will be closed Friday 5 December, however all after-hours chutes will be open.
- Bateau Bay, Kariong and Toukley Libraries will be available to customers inducted for Library@YourTime.
- Library Reservation Lockers will be accessible at Erina, Tuggerah and Umina Beach libraries as well as Wyong Service Centre.
- A Library Reservation Locker will be accessible at 42 Marine Pde, The Entrance.

Lifeguards
- Council lifeguards will be on duty, patrolling the Coast's 15 patrolled beaches.

Roads
- Urgent road maintenance or safety issues should be reported to Council by phoning 4306 7900, which will immediately go through to our out-of-hours officer to be assessed and responded to.
- Non-emergency enquiries, requests, reporting issues or formal feedback can be made 24/7 through our online Customer Service Centre, which will be progressed from Monday 8 December.

Water and sewer
- Any water service interruptions are listed on our website.
- Urgent water or sewer issues (such as a spill, leak, bubbling water, water decolourisation or no water pressure) should be reported to Council by phoning 4306 7900 immediately so we can assess and respond as soon as possible.
