Various road works are underway this week, with crews filling potholes (as the first level of maintenance to keep the road safe in the short term), through to longer term works such as heavy patching and road rehabilitation. See list of works: 

• Pothole works at Avoca Beach, Calga, East Gosford, Empire Bay, Fountaindale, Kangy Angy, Killarney Vale, Killcare, Kulnura, Long Jetty, Mount White, North Avoca, Ourimbah, Point Frederick, Pretty Beach, Ravensdale, Tumbi Umbi, Wyong Creek, Yarramalong
• Heavy patch works at Charmhaven (Parkside Dr, Pacific Hwy), Gorokan (Vena Ave), Jilliby (Dicksons Rd), Tumbi Umbi (Palm Valley Rd)
• Road grading works at Lisarow (Cutrock Rd, Macdonalds Rd), Ourimbah (Howes Rd, Brush Rd), Somersby (Konda Rd, Kilkenny Rd, Silvesters Rd, Viitasalo Rd S)
• Road resurfacing at Bateau Bay (Curzon Ave, Jessica St, Sierra Ave)
• Road pavement works at Empire Bay (Rickard Rd), Lisarow (Cutrock Rd)
• Road rehabilitation at The Entrance (Manning Rd) 
• Road shoulder maintenance works at Gunderman (Wisemans Ferry Rd)

To determine the type of road renewal works we look at traffic volumes, topography, and location, including the roads proximity to water courses. The type of works determined can include crack sealing, road rehabilitation, resurfacing of the pavement, and the like.
