Get ready to roll in Gwandalan!
The brand-new Tunkuwallin Skatepark and Pump Track at 130 Kanangra Drive officially opened in July 2025.
Delivered by Central Coast Council and funded through Council’s capital works program, this $530,521 project replaces the old, end-of-life skatepark with a modern, dynamic recreation space for the community.
The design is a direct result of extensive community consultation held in May and June 2024. We listened to your feedback and incorporated your ideas to create a space that truly reflects your vision. The new skatepark features a variety of obstacles and terrain, including street and transition areas, catering to all ages and skill levels. In response to strong community interest, the project was expanded to include a dedicated pump track, providing a safe and fun space especially for younger children. The Tunkuwallin Skatepark and Pump Track is a fantastic addition to the area, providing a safe and exciting place for young people and families to connect and stay active. This project demonstrates our commitment to investing in community wellbeing and promoting healthy lifestyles across the Central Coast. By enhancing Tunkuwallin Oval, we're creating a larger and more versatile recreation space that benefits Gwandalan and the wider region.
The new skatepark has been built on the former unofficial parking area between the old skatepark and Kanangra Drive. A new car park will be constructed on the former skatepark site as a separate project, aligned with the Tunkuwallin Oval Precinct Plan.
