Central Coast Council’s Water and Sewer team are working with contractors to complete an extensive works program ensuring reliable water and sewer infrastructure in the Gosford CBD that meets the needs of the community, now and in the future. With over 40% of works complete, we expect this program will be complete by early 2025 – weather permitting.

These essential water and sewer upgrades have been made possible thanks to $42.5 million in funding through the NSW Government’s Housing Acceleration Fund (HAF). 

About the work

As part of these works will be undertaking works to install a new sewer rising main and connection point within Frederick Street.  

These works will involve the open trenching and the laying of pipe along the western side of Frederick Street with the western lane being closed to traffic within the works area. 

Our work schedule.

The works are expected to start Monday 26 February with expected completion late-March 2024. Works will run between 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday. There may be occasional Saturday between 8am to 1pm, when required.

If we need to work outside these times, we will let affected residents know. 

How will this affect you?

Where works are occurring along Frederick St the street will be reduce to a single lane with traffic controls in place to direct traffic around the works area. 

Works will be restricted to the western side of Frederick St (even number properties). Parking along Frederick St will be restricted, and residents will be asked to move their vehicles where necessary.

You will notice additional noise and construction vehicle movements along Frederick Street. Our aim is to minimise inconvenience to you, and we thank you for your patience during these works.
