Each week, we have road work underway across the Coast to deliver improvements and maintenance works.

Some of the works occurring this week include: 
🚧Pothole filling at Bensville, Berkeley Vale, Chittaway Bay, Chittaway Point, Copacabana, Lisarow, North Avoca, North Gosford, Picketts Valley, The Entrance, The Entrance North, Yarramalong
🚧 Road rehabilitation at Jilliby (Hue Hue Rd)
🚧 Heavy patching at Glenning Valley (Lees Lane), and Halloran (Mountain Road)
🚧 Road grading on various Laneways at Umina Beach and Woy Woy, and also at Kulnura (Yorky Waters Road and Walkers Ridge), Lower Mangrove (Oyster Shell Road)
🚧 Road shoulder maintenance at Somersby (Wisemans Ferry Road)

Where potholes consistently reoccur or the road deteriorates further during its life cycle, a more substantial and longer lasting heavy patch repair is considered - based on what has been done to date, the risk profile and what renewal work is planned for that section of the road. 

Heavy patching is an asphalt patching technique to treat a larger section of the road pavement. Heavy patching involves cutting and excavating a section of the existing road pavement to a depth of 150-200mm and filling the cut-out area with new asphalt product
