Central Coast Council’s Asbestos Management Policy is now on public exhibition and open for community feedback.

The policy outlines how asbestos is safely managed across a range of areas including Council-owned land and buildings, emergency response, land use planning, and waste regulation. Updates include clearer wording, alignment with current legislation, and corrections to outdated references.

Originally developed to minimise exposure for staff, contractors, and the community, the policy remains a key part of Council’s commitment to health and safety.
