27/09/2023With the Labour Day Long Weekend approaching, there will be changes to some Council services and operating hours on Monday 2 October.
Customer Service Centres
Customer Service Centres at the Wyong Administration Building and in Gosford will both be closed for the public holiday and will re-open on Tuesday 3 October from 8:30am. Residents will be able to report issues to our 24-hour support line 4306 7900 and will also have access to the online portal.
Libraries
All Central Coast Library Branches and after-hours chutes will be closed on Monday 2 October. Residents who have been inducted in the Library@YourTime program at Bateau Bay, Kariong and Toukley Libraries will be able to access the service. Libraries will re-open on Tuesday 3 October with the continuation of the popular school holiday program until Friday 6 October.
Waste Management
Both the Woy Woy Waste Management Facility and the Buttonderry Waste Management Facility will be open throughout public holiday for waste and recycling services from 7am-4pm on Monday 2 October. Residential bin pickups scheduled for Monday will also be collected as per normal.
Visitor Information Centre
The state-of-the-art Visitor Information Centre will be staffed from 9:30am-4:30pm throughout the long weekend period.
Leisure Centre and Facilities
There are slight changes to operating hours at Council’s recreational facilities for Labour Day. On Monday 2 October the following times will be in effect:
- Peninsula Leisure Centre Open 10am-4pm
- Gosford Olympic Pool Open 10am-3pm
- Toukley Aquatic Centre open 10am-3pm
- Lake Haven Rec Centre - Closed – 24 hours access available.
- Wyong Olympic Pool – Closed opens Tuesday 3 October for Summer Season
- Niagara Park Stadium - Closed
