Council resolved at the 23 June Ordinary Council meeting, to create a 10-year works implementation plan for the Council-owned Davistown Wetlands, in partnership with the Davistown Progress Association, to ensure an on-going program and funding to help maintain and repair the existing wetlands. 

Key funding will come from the interest component earned on the existing internally restricted Davistown Wetlands Fund, currently valued at $1.436,049.  

The current annual interest is in the order of $59,000, and the resolution was that a portion of that should be used for an identified program of works in the existing wetlands.  Other portions of interest earned would be used for broader conservation work.
