Safely dispose of unwanted household chemicals – for free!

Clear out unused, out-of-date or unwanted household chemicals laying around your home, garage or shed at Council’s Chemical Clean Out events in August 2025 – a safe, free and environmentally responsible way to dispose of hazardous waste.

Held over two weekends at two locations:

Charmhaven

• Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 August 2025
• 9am-3.30pm
• Council’s Charmhaven Depot, 137 Chelmsford Rd, Charmhaven NSW 2263 (enter via Depot Road)

Kincumber

• Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 August 2025
• 9am-3.30pm
• Former Kincumber Waste Management Facility on Cullens Road, Kincumber.

Note: this facility remains closed, however it is open for the Chemical CleanOut event

What can you drop off?

Paint tins, pesticides, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, fluorescent globes and tubes, as well as any unknown or unidentified chemicals which are accepted for identification and correct disposal.
