Closure detailsCentral Coast Council offices will be closed on Friday 5 December 2025 for a Local Government State Award-approved Union Picnic Day and will re-open Monday 8 December 2025.Some of Council’s services and facilities will be closed or have changes, however essential services will continue to operate.Customer service and reporting of issuesCustomer Service Centres and Council’s Administration Building at Wyong will be closed Friday 5 December and re-open Monday 8 December.Urgent reports - We have an out-of-hours service available on 4306 7900 to call in any urgent reports such as water main breaks, sewer issues or urgent road safety issues (such as fallen trees over roads).Non-urgent - Customers can contact Council with non-emergency enquiries, requests, reporting issues or formal feedback 24/7 through our online Customer Service Centre.

The Central Coast has reaffirmed its position as one of NSW’s leading destinations, proudly taking home two Silver Awards at the 2025 NSW Tourism Awards, held on 27 November at Waterview in Bicentennial Park.Presented by the NSW Tourism Association, these prestigious awards recognise and celebrate outstanding achievements across the state’s tourism industry.Council took out Silver in the Local Government Award for Tourism as well as Silver for the Visitor Information Services category.

Destination Central Coast hosted its end-of-year industry event on 20 November at Gosford’s newest hotel, voco Gosford, bringing together over 150 tourism professionals for the final networking event of 2025.This year has been a standout for tourism on the Central Coast, marked by strong local partnerships, innovative industry programmes and a string of award wins for both Council and local operators.Central Coast Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said collaboration and strong partnerships are key to growing the visitor economy.“In 2024-25, tourism generated over $5.2 million for our region.

Remediation works at The Entrance boardwalk, located north of the Azzurro Blu complex are now complete with it now re-opened for residents, businesses and visitors.These necessary works were to address maintenance issues left by the outgoing lessee, and their completion means the community can once again enjoy uninterrupted access to this iconic boardwalk space.The works included replacing rotted and damaged timbers, so the boardwalk is safe for everyone to enjoy, and it now creates the foundation for a lively and vibrant foreshore.The remediation works also create a great opportunity for businesses, with several fantastic commercial spaces now available for lease right on the waterfront.

Central Coast Council is inviting the community to the Make it Big Markets at Gosford Regional Gallery on Saturday 29 November 2025, from 4-8pm.This free, family-friendly event is the region’s largest artists and makers market and will transform the Gallery forecourt and parklands into a vibrant Christmas twilight celebration.Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the Make it Big Markets help boost the local creative economy by bringing together artists, makers and the wider community.“This event is a fantastic celebration of local talent,” Mayor McKinna said.“It’s a chance for people to connect, discover local talent and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that makes our region a standout destination for arts and culture.“Whether you’re an art lover, a family looking for a great evening out or just keen to support local makers and buy unique Christmas presents, you’ll find plenty to enjoy.”Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said the event offers a diverse program.“Attendees can enjoy more than 70 stalls, free art-making stations, live entertainment, food trucks and the rare opportunity to explore the Edogawa Commemorative Gardens at twilight,” Ms Smith said.“The award-winning Archibald Prize 2025, an Art Gallery of New South Wales touring exhibition, will also be on display in the main gallery, giving visitors the chance to experience one of Australia’s most celebrated art events alongside the festive atmosphere of the markets and the beauty of the Edogawa Commemorative Gardens.”Make it Big Markets is free to attend and open to all.
