Protection of the Environment Trust Grant
Individuals or community groups interested in undertaking environmentally based projects are encouraged to apply for funding under the Protection of the Environment Trust (POET).

Individuals or community groups interested in undertaking environmentally based projects are encouraged to apply for funding under the Protection of the Environment Trust (POET).

The POET, established in 2006, promotes the protection and enhancement of the natural environment, in particular, the conservation of indigenous flora and fauna, and only applies to land or projects in the former Gosford City Council Local Government Area.

The annual funding available for the Protection of the Environment Trust is in the order of $60,000, however this amount may vary between years. The Trust will aim to fund multiple projects each year with available funds. Funding requests by eligible applications should therefore be scaled accordingly.

Key Dates

Applications for the 2023/24 round open between dates 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024 (closing at midnight). Grant applications will be assessed and awarded regularly throughout this period.
