Peninsula Leisure Centre has been designed with easy access for the elderly, parents with prams and for people with disabilities. The main entry is easily accessible from the car park and from this point patrons can access all areas of the Centre via ramps (except for the upper grandstand).

    • Free parking, including 7 disabled parking bays
    • Hearing loop
    • Main entrance easily accessible from the carpark, with all public areas accessible via ramps
    • Companion Card affiliated: carers can attend for free when accompanying people with disability (a valid Companion Card must be shown to staff on entry)
    • All staff qualified with Provide First Aid skills to provide guidance in the use of accessible equipment
    • The 50-metre outdoor pool is accessible via lift
    • The 25-metre program pool is accessible via ramp
    • Leisure Pool is accessible by beach entry
    • Outdoor waterpark fully accessible
    • 2 submersible water wheelchairs are available for free hire, allowing direct wheeled access to the water and change rooms
  • Wheelchair accessible equipment is available within the gym, including:

    • Dual adjustable pulley
    • Upper body ergometer
    • Cable crossover
    • Smith machine
    • Lat pulldown
    • A range of free weights including dumbbells, kettlebells and balls
    • Our accessible change rooms are available for use. We also have a designated change room with access to mobile lifts and adult change table.
    • Accessible toilets are located throughout the centre
