Variation reporting
Council must complete quarterly returns on variations of development standards under delegations using Clause 4.6 of the Local Environmental Plan (previously State Environmental Planning Policy No 1).

Council were required to complete quarterly returns on variations of development standards under delegations using Clause 4.6 of the Local Environmental Plan (previously State Environmental Planning Policy No 1) up till the 31 October 2023.  

Local Council’s need to keep accurate records of the use of exceptions to development standards (Clause 4.6) and to report quarterly to the Department of Planning and Environment.

Applications with Clause 4.6 variations (previously SEPP1).

As of 1 November 2023, A publicly available online register of all DAs with variation requests lodged and determined is available on the NSW Planning Portal.
