Notice of provision for financial funding

In accordance with Section 356(2) of the Local Government Act 1993, Council gives a minimum of 28 days public notice of its intention to submit an offer around the opportunity to host the South African Rugby Union’s International Test Team, the Springboks, in September 2027.  

This offer will support the Springboks proposed Base Training Camp, on the Central Coast NSW, prior to the commencement of the Rugby World Cup 2027 taking place from October to November 2027.  The proposal includes the opportunity to host an international friendly match to be played in Gosford against an International Test Team (to be announced) during the period between 1 September and 19 September 2027.

The total cost-to-Council, if approved will be $240,000.00 (two hundred and forty thousand dollars).
