LAGOONS
• Terrigal Lagoon has been opened and we expect water levels to continue to fall.
• Council intervenes to open our coastal lagoons (Wamberal, Terrigal, Avoca and Cockrone) when their water levels reach their own trigger level.
• We continue to monitor all lagoon levels and will intervene as required.

TUGGERAH LAKES – The Entrance Channel
• For Tuggerah Lakes, our procedure is more unique and complex, where intervention and management of the channel may occur before it is closed, and when water levels are predicted rather than reached.
• As of 1pm today, no flood warnings are in place for Tuggerah Lake and trigger levels haven’t been met to intervene.
• However, we will bring forward the undertaking of berm scraping - expected to commence early this afternoon.
• These works were originally planned for later in the week as part of pre-emptive maintenance works to help the channel respond to possible flooding.
