19/05/2025Potential tidal flooding - West Gosford, Erina, Saratoga, Davistown, Tascott and Woy Woy
High tides in Brisbane Water are likely to see shallow overland flooding in some surrounding low-lying areas.
- Last night’s high tide in Brisbane Water peaked at 1.06m above sea level.
- Tonight’s tide has the potential to be slightly higher, due to the water levels in Brisbane Water pumping up to higher levels over successive very large tides.
- It is estimated that it is likely to reach 1.1m above sea level overnight, peaking at 3am Tuesday 20 May.
Images show mapping of the likely tidal flood extents in Brisbane Water:
• West Gosford, Central Coast Highway at Racecourse Road, westbound lanes
• Erina, Central Coast Highway at Pateman Road – westbound lanes
• Woy Woy Town Centre, water coming up stormwater drains directly from Brisbane Water
• Davistown and Empire Bay, water coming overland from Brisbane Water
• Yattlaunga, Mundorra Road – water coming overland from Brisbane Water
• Saratoga, Steyne Road and Village Road waterfront properties
• Tascott, Victory Parade, waterfront properties
Take care on the roads, drive to the conditions, turn on your headlights and avoid any unnecessary travel. Local roads may be closed due to flood water. Please consider how water overland in your area may impact you (such as needing to move your car, or how water over roads may delay your journey).
