51st NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout
Koori Knockout, October long weekend, Aboriginal Rugby League

When

Location

20 Lake Road
Tuggerah NSW 2259

The 51st NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout will be held at the Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex (CCRSRC), Tuggerah over the October long weekend (Friday 29 September to Monday 2 October 2023).

Also referred to as the ‘Koori Knockout’, this mass participation annual sporting event will showcase some of the best rugby league talent in the country and holds a highly regarded and significant place on the Indigenous calendar.

Up to 150 teams are expected to participate across the four-day event, attracting thousands and thousands of people to the region. You may even catch an NRL/NRLW player up close in action!

The event is being hosted by Newcastle All Blacks and proudly supported by Central Coast Council.

To help make the Koori Knockout another success, the CCRSRC will go into a lockdown (no public access) from 6am Monday 25 September through to 6am Tuesday 3 October. We have done this to help event organisers set up and prepare for the huge four-day event.

Arrive hassle free and avoid traffic

With so many people expected to attend the Knockout, a Traffic Management Plan has been put in place to help cater for the extra visitors and traffic.

To avoid battling traffic and the hassle of finding a parking spot, visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttle bus service or take advantage of public transport – with Tuggerah train station conveniently located near the fields.

•    Shuttle bus service

The shuttle bus service will be identifiable as Event Buses (LED and window signage) and both are fully accessible and can accommodate two wheelchairs.

Route 1 EDSACC North Bateau Bay
8am-7pm
The bus will depart every hour, on the hour, with returns from the CCRSRC on the half hour, every hour.

Route 2 Tuggerah Dog Park
7am-7pm
The bus will depart every 15/20 minutes to provide transfers from the Dog Park to the fields.

•    Public transport

Check out Transport NSW for the train and bus timetables available to get you to Tuggerah over the long weekend.

If you plan on driving, please try and carpool where you can. Also allow extra travel time as traffic may be heavier than usual. You can find real-time updates on traffic conditions at livetraffic.com
