Lake Munmorah Recreation Precinct
Delivering a $3.81M new recreation destination featuring a playspace, skatepark, pump track and amenities to support active lifestyles and community connections.
What's happening
We’re delivering an exciting $3.81million Lake Munmorah Recreation Precinct, creating a major new community facility for the northern Central Coast.
This new precinct will be located on the corner of Pacific Hwy and Tall Timbers Rd Doyalson North, alongside the sportsgrounds and will feature:
- an inclusive regional sized playspace
- district level skatepark and pump track
- upgraded access road and carpark
- supporting recreational infrastructure such as park furniture, BBQ, water re-fill stations, connective pathways and landscaping.
This accessible new community space will be a destination for locals and visitors alike, encouraging active outdoor living, safe play, and strong social connections for people of all ages and abilities.
This project is funded with $921,763 by the Australian Government and $2,888,237 by Central Coast Council.
You told us what you wanted - and we listened!
Our local community played a key role in the development of concept designs for the playspace and skate park. There were 97 people that participated in engagement activities and submitted online surveys during three stages of consultation from 2019 to 2020.
