🚘 WEEKLY ROAD WORKS UPDATE 

Each week, we have road work underway across the Coast to deliver improvements and maintenance works. Some of the road works underway this week include:

🚧 Pothole works at Blackwall, Calga, Chain Valley Bay, Davistown, Gorokan, Kariong, Kulnura, Noraville, Peats Ridge, Saratoga, Tacoma, The Entrance, Wadalba, Wyong, Yattalunga

🚧 Road resurfacing works at Toukley (Fourth Ave, Fifth Ave), Woongarrah (Hiawatha Rd)

🚧 Road grading works at Bucketty (Great Northern Rd), Bushells Ridge (Tooheys Rd), Kulnura (Collins Rd, Yorky Waters Rd)

🚧 Heavy patch works at Kulnura (Greta Rd), Lake Munmorah (Azalea Cl)

🚧 Road pavement upgrade works at MacMasters Beach (The Scenic Rd), The Entrance (Manning Rd)

DID YOU KNOW?

Pothole patching is a temporary solution to reduce safety hazards, and used to isolated defects in the road network. It is also the only solution that can be underway during wet weather. These types of repairs are designed to ensure it is kept safe for traffic until such time as a more permanent restoration or resurfacing can occur.

During dry weather more permanent pothole repairs and other solutions can be applied. Heavy patch repairs provide a medium-term solution where a section of the road is treated.

For the longer term, renewal works are undertaken which include rehabilitation and resurfacing of the pavement.
