Making improvements to Gosford Leagues Club Park
drainage installation on field

Central Coast Council will be carrying out some upgrades to Gosford Leagues Club Park to enhance its usability for the community.

Located beside Brisbane Water, the park boasts a tidal terrace, picnic and BBQ areas, a playspace, and a field.

However, the field has been plagued by poor drainage, which was not addressed during recent works by the State Government.

As a result, Council has currently closed the area to upgrade the drainage system, which will prevent water from pooling on the field and surrounding paths after rain and allow for community use.

The field is expected to reopen by the end of June 2023, after the grass has had time to re-establish itself.

In addition to improving the field, Council will also be enhancing the accessibility to the tiered seating and BBQ areas by replacing the crushed granite with concrete surfaces.

To minimize disruption to park visitors, the works will be carried out in small sections with each area being closed off temporarily as work progresses. These works are set to start on Monday 29 May 2023, with completion expected in time for the July school holidays, weather permitting.

Central Coast Council apologises for any inconvenience caused to park-goers during this time.
