Kibble Park upgrades: stage one commencing Monday 11 May 2026

From 11 May 2026, Central Coast Council is moving ahead with the first stage of upgrades to Kibble Park in Gosford, bringing the community’s vision for a revitalised and welcoming city heart to life and marking an important milestone for the region.

During this time, sections of Kibble Park will be temporarily closed - including the community carpark - to allow for the demolition of the Parkhouse building.

These works are expected to have minimal impact on nearby residents and businesses and are scheduled for completion within approximately 6 weeks from the start date.

Council thanks the community for their patience and understanding as we take this important step toward realising a revitalised Kibble Park.

Background

Kibble Park plays an increasingly important role as Gosford and the wider Central Coast continue to grow.

Our community has strongly reinforced this vision. Through extensive engagement, local residents and businesses helped shape the Kibble Park Place Plan, calling for a green living room - an inviting, safe and inclusive space where everyone feels welcome and where people can connect, share and celebrate.

The Place Plan provides a clear roadmap for how Council and the community will work together to bring this shared vision to life.
