Positive Ageing Strategy

Our Positive Ageing Strategy aims to create an age-friendly community on the Central Coast which values, supports, and empowers older people to live active and fulfilling lives. The strategy is made up of four key themes:

• Theme 1: Social Connections and Participation - Our older residents are connected and have opportunities to participate in, contribute to and be included in community life.
• Theme 2: Being Better Informed and Tech Savvy - Our older residents are well informed and well-resourced as they age.
• Theme 3: Staying Healthy and Active - Our older residents are encouraged to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle and can access health services.
• Theme 4: Age-Friendly Places and Spaces - Our older residents feel welcome and can access public places and spaces, they can move easily and safely around the community and are supported to age in place.
