Roadside Tribute Registration Form

Central Coast Council acknowledges family members and individuals wish to place a roadside tribute, in memory of a loved one lost due to road trauma on roads under the management of Central Coast Council. Council has a policy on roadside tributes. Please review the policy to ensure your roadside tribute complies with the relevant requirements. This Roadside Tribute Policy is available on Council’s website.

While no consent is required from Council for the placement of the roadside tribute, Council encourages the responsible person to provide all relevant details on this form. Should there be concerns with the tribute, this registration allows Council to respectfully contact the responsible person. Any contact would relate to maintenance, safety or proposed roadworks

Guidelines
  • - Only one tribute per loved one/person is permitted.
  • - Any individual wishing to erect a roadside tribute is encouraged to discuss with the family members, prior to placement.
  • - The location should not unreasonably detract from the amenity of the local area or seriously detract from the reasonable quality of life expected by adjacent landowners or property owners, with consideration to nearby residents, who may have also experienced trauma.
  • - The maintenance of roadside tributes is the responsibility of the family or individuals who placed them.
  • - Tributes are considered temporary and will be permitted for a period of up to 13 months from date of placement.
