Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from capable local businesses and event organisations to design and deliver free, high‑quality community events across the region.This program provides an opportunity for experienced organisers to partner with Council to deliver events that bring people together, activate local places and strengthen community connection and vibrancy while supporting the growth of the Central Coast visitor economy.About the community events funding programA total of four funding opportunities are available in 2026–27.

About the opportunityWe are seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from organisations, community groups, training providers or individuals who provide services to the community to lease Green Point Community Centre, Building A.

Local makers and creators interested in hosting an exhibition, workshop or installation at the Gallery container in Toukley, are urged to submit their interest to part of the Creative Spaces 2026-2027 program.Selected artists will be able to connect with the community through creative workshops, talks, collaborations with other artists and installations throughout the year.The Gallery Container will be available for use in 2026-27 for blocks as outlined below.1 July - 25 September 202611 January - 26 March 202730 March - 25 June 2027The space will need to be open for a minimum of four days per week for a minimum of four hours per day.Submit your application via this link.Applications close:

Want to develop news skills, confidence and help accelerate the customer service experience for visitors and locals looking for things to do and see across our beautiful region?Central Coast Council is calling for expressions of interest (EOI) from local community members interested in becoming a Visitor Service Volunteer Ambassador at the recently revitalised Visitor Information Centre, The Entrance.The volunteer role has been developed to support staff in the new Central Coast Visitor Centre and will assist with providing information on the Coast and surrounds to visitors and the local community - enticing visitors to explore more and stay longer in the region as well as encouraging local residents to explore their own backyard.Interested volunteers should bring a unique and positive outlook of the Central Coast and have a good understanding of all there is to do and see across the region.By becoming a volunteer, you will develop new skills and gain experience, build confidence, and increase social interaction and community engagement.Candidates with previous customer service and basic computer skills are preferred, and the ability to work across the week and/or weekends with a fun and reliable team.We’re seeking residents aged 18 years and over who have lived on the Central Coast for at least 12 months.Find out more by downloading the Volunteer Role description here.If this sounds like you, email your EOI to brooke.longford@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au

About the programCentral Coast Council is seeking applications from early career and emerging visual artists, who identify as culturally and linguistically diverse and First Nations and Torres Strait Islander, for The Third Space 2025/26 artist residency program.Third Space Residency is an opportunity to share, explore and develop new works, while also engaging with the broader community.Council is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive and flexible opportunities for creatives who represent diverse backgrounds within our community.

Central Coast Council is reaffirming its commitment to disability access and inclusion by ensuring people with disability can participate fully in community life, including entertainment, leisure and cultural activities.A key part of this commitment is improving access and creating environments where everyone can enjoy time with friends, take part in cultural activities and support local businesses.To help make opportunities for social and cultural inclusion easier to find, Council is developing an ‘Accessible Venues’ brochure that highlights entertainment venues across the region that offer accessible and inclusive experiences.The resource aims to promote venues that prioritise accessibility and inclusion and assist people with disability in choosing venues that meet their accessibility needs.Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the Accessible Venues brochure demonstrates Council's commitment to making community life inclusive and accessible for all.“We want to support everyone who enjoys going out, connecting with others and taking part in everything the Coast has to offer,” Mayor McKinna said.“By highlighting these venues, we’re helping to promote places where people with disability can feel welcomed, respected and able to access services.”Council is inviting local entertainment venue operators who are committed to enhancing accessibility to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to be featured in the publication.Council Director Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith said entertainment venues that want to learn about ways to be more accessible and inclusive are encouraged to apply.“If you are a venue that prioritises accessibility and inclusivity through physical access, staff training, sensory friendly options, thoughtful design or implementing simple solutions, we want to hear from you,” Ms Smith said.“Featured venues will help community members identify places where they can participate with confidence and feel genuinely welcomed.”EOIs for the Accessible Entertainment Venues brochure are now open until 29 April 2026.For more information, visit the EOI webpage.ENDS
