Councillor Margot Castles

Councillor Margot Castles has been a Central Coast resident for over 40 years, raising her family here and contributing actively to the community. With extensive experience in the community services sector, including her work as a Community Development Worker with Wyong Shire Council, Margot has deep-rooted knowledge of the region’s needs and challenges. 

Alongside her husband, she previously operated a successful family-owned indoor sports centre, providing her with valuable business insight.

Margot is a dedicated community volunteer, currently serving as Chair of a not-for-profit organisation in the alcohol and drug sector and contributing to several local grassroots groups. She holds a degree in Politics and History, tertiary qualifications in Community Services and has strong skills in governance, research, and public speaking.

Passionate about social inclusion, Margot advocates for putting vulnerable community members at the forefront of decision-making. Her commitment to transparency and community-centred policy guides her work, and she’s thrilled to serve Central Coast residents, striving to build a sustainable, inclusive future for all.
