Lake Haven Library is currently closed due to flooding. Contractors are on site undertaking detailed assessments and necessary repair works. John Mouland is the Deputy Mayor of Central Coast Council and a highly experienced executive leader with more than 30 years across the corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors.

His career includes over two decades in senior leadership roles within local and regional government, where he has driven transformational change, strengthened community engagement, and delivered major infrastructure and economic development initiatives that have helped shape the Central Coast’s future.

Before being elected as a Councillor and subsequently Deputy Mayor, John served for 12 years as CEO of Regional Development Australia Central Coast, where he rebuilt regional confidence, established strong partnerships across government and industry, and secured billions in infrastructure investment for the region.

John’s leadership experience extends beyond government. He has chaired and served on multiple boards across education, aged care, disability, and the arts, including as Company Secretary and Board Member of Central Coast Sports College, Chair of Coastlink Disability and Respite Care, and Director of Central Coast Arts Limited.

With a proven record in strategic planning, financial management, and governance, John brings deep insight into how to deliver practical, community-driven solutions. His passion lies in building a sustainable, prosperous Central Coast through collaboration, transparency, and strong regional leadership.
