Design the future of Central Coast playspaces

Central Coast Council is asking locals to tell them how they like to play, slide, climb, and swing as the region’s Playspace Strategy is updated. Additionally, the community is asked what they would like to see included in the redesign of the playspace at Umina’s Peninsula Recreation Precinct.
Council Acting Mayor John Mouland said that it’s important that residents have a voice in planning their future playspaces.
“Council manages more than 270 playspaces across the Central Coast,” Acting Mayor Mouland said.
“These are much-loved spaces where people of all ages come together to enjoy the outdoors, socialise, and stay active. For children especially, they foster play, learning and social development in meaningful ways.
“I encourage our community to share their views on how playspaces are designed, built and maintained. Your feedback will help us update our five-year Playspace Strategy. We’re also keen to hear ideas for the redesign of the Umina playspace, which is set for a major upgrade next year.”
