Central Coast Council is delivering a jam-packed program of online and face-to-face activities and events throughout the April school holidays, giving Central Coast families plenty of ways to keep young minds entertained and bodies active over the Easter break.

Parents, carers and guardians can head to the School Holidays what’s on page on Council’s website to see everything that’s taking place - from nature tours, live entertainment and escape rooms to sports challenges, Easter crafts and skills workshops, there’s something on offer for all ages, interests and abilities.

All face-to-face programs will operate in a COVID-safe way, including limited numbers in each workshop to ensure the health and wellbeing of participants.

Visit centralcoast.nsw.gov.au/schoolholidays for the full list of events, details and bookings.

What's on at our Town Centres

Bring the kids down to any of our four town centre locations for a range of fun activities for all ages. Gosford, Toukley, The Entrance and Wyong will play host to a variety of interactive activities and workshops including Easter craft, sensory play and mini farm animals, bubble soccer, laser tag and more! For a special Easter treat, families can head to Memorial Park at The Entrance on Easter Saturday to meet a roving giant Easter bunny.

What’s on for our Youth

Council’s Youth Services have a range of exciting workshops to help young people build skills and explore their passions. From free Responsible Service of Alcohol and Barista training designed to help young people enter the workforce to a series of skateboarding and scooter workshops at some of the Coast’s skate parks, there’s plenty to choose from! Aspiring musicians can take part in a very special skills workshop with talented singer/songwriter Fletcher Pilon or learn to how drop the beat in a two-day DJ workshop.

What’s on for Eco-warriors

The ever-popular Green Living Kids workshops are back, where kids can make worm towers, insect hotels and beeswax wraps while learning about sustainability. Council is also running a series of nature walking tours at some of the Coast’s most beautiful bushlands and nature reserves, where families can spot wildlife and learn more about nature. Kids can also become a citizen scientist and discover creatures in our local waterways as part of the Waterbug Blitz workshop!

What's on at our Leisure Centres

Council’s Leisure Centres have another packed schedule of swimming and sporting activities to keep kids active throughout the holidays. A variety of swimming programs and inflatable pool courses will take place at Council’s pools, while the sport centres will host basketball clinics and fun sessions with obstacle courses.

What's on across our Libraries

At Council’s Libraries, kids can get involved in a range of online and face to face activities designed to activate young minds. Explore the science of robotics with Ozobots, enter the exciting world of tabletop gaming with Paints of War or put on your detective hat by taking on an escape room!

What’s on at our Theatres

It’s fun for the whole family at Laycock Street Community Theatre, with some fantastic kid-friendly shows running these school holidays. Experience high-calibre acrobats, a tonne of comedy, live music and high-flying tricks with Brass Monkeys or join the Heelers in their first live theatre show with Bluey’s Big Play!
