10/01/2025We’re off to a great start with some exciting projects being delivered in 2025, including the completion and grand opening of the Gosford Regional Library and Community Centre. This wonderful new community space will offer library services, creative spaces, local history studies, meeting rooms and more – and will no doubt become a favourite destination for locals.
I’m looking forward to seeing many of you at our Australia Day Celebrations at Gosford Leagues Club Park and The Entrance Memorial Park – these are events not to be missed. Both locations will have free live entertainment, food trucks, family fun and a fantastic fireworks finale!
We will also be congratulating the winners of our Australia Day Awards. Thank you to everyone who nominated a local hero for a volunteer, senior citizen, young person, community group or community life award. And heartfelt congratulations to those people and groups who received a nomination – we are fortunate to have so many doing so much for the betterment of our community.
Council will soon be developing new priorities as part of our strategic planning process. We will be working as a team to identify projects and activities that our community needs in the next financial year and engaging with you on our 2024/25 delivery program.
We will also be encouraging you to ‘have your say’ on a range of plans and projects across the year through our ‘Your Voice Our Coast’ community engagement platform, so keep an eye out for new initiatives and projects happening near you. As always, your feedback is valued and appreciated.
I hope everyone enjoys a happy and prosperous new year as we work together to build the Central Coast of the future.
