We’ve been out and about in the community, talking to people about our plans for the future. 

These included our 10-year Community Strategic Plan, four-year Delivery Program, one-year Operational Plan and resourcing strategies.

Thank you to everyone who visited our pop-up information sessions to see for themselves what’s being proposed for their local area, and for the whole coast. We appreciated you taking the time to view the plans, ask questions and give your feedback.

Thanks also to the Councillors who participated in the engagement sessions in their ward, enabling a true partnership between Council and the community. 

It was gratifying to produce the plans with input from Councillors for the first time in many years. We enjoyed meeting our residents and getting a better understanding of what’s important to people, both in the short and long term.

I’d also like to thank those people who took the time to view the plans online and make a submission. 

Tonight, Council’s planning documents were considered and adopted by Council. Council will invest more than $1.3B over four years in capital projects, with $320M being planned for this upcoming financial year. We’ll now begin rolling out a brand-new program of projects and activities. I am looking forward to keeping residents informed and reporting on our progress.
