24/09/2025Central Coast Council’s Code of Meeting Practice (CoMP) sets the rules and processes for how Council and Committee meetings are run. It ensures meetings are consistent, transparent and follow NSW legislation.
In June 2025, Central Coast Council exhibited and adopted a new CoMP. Soon after, the Office of Local Government (OLG) released the updated 2025 Model Code of Meeting Practice with significant changes to mandatory provisions. All councils in NSW must adopt a CoMP that incorporates the mandatory provisions of the Model Code by 31 December 2025. Before adopting, councils must place the draft CoMP on public exhibition.
Central Coast Council’s updated draft CoMP is on exhibition from 24 September to 4 November 2025, with submissions open during this time.
