Build your career with Council
We offer employment placement for undergraduates to get real real-world experience and work alongside professionals in a range of fields.
Our Undergraduate Program enables second to last and final year university students to work part time while they study. Undergraduates are employed on a 12-month basis from February to February. They work 21 to 35 hours per week and receive on the job mentoring by skilled professionals and teams at Council.

"The Undergraduate Program has been greatly fulfilling in transferring the theoretical understanding of my degree into a practical and professional setting. The projects individually curated to me have both challenged and motivated me as an undergraduate civil engineer. I now have a much greater understanding and appreciation for the role of engineers in local government and feel confident in graduating having been given this opportunity at Central Coast Council."

"The Undergraduate Program has given me the practical skills I needed in networking, community engagement, community development and social research. This experience has already opened so many doors for me and will continue to develop and challenge me throughout the year."
