Central Coast Town Centres

Our Town Centres are important places for our community. They are places where we live, work and connect and each has its own unique identity formed by its community, culture, landscape and environment, landmarks and attractions and history.

Council is committed to the continual improvement and activation of our town centres to drive business and economic development to them, increase local employment and to create new experiences and vibrant hubs for locals and visitors to enjoy.

Council has identified five key town centres on the Coast (Gosford, Wyong, Terrigal, The Entrance and Woy Woy) and seven minor town centres (Toukley, Umina, Ettalong, Long Jetty, Avoca, Budgewoi and Kincumber)

Council supports this by delivering tailored activation projects and initiatives that bring life to spaces and places within town centres. These projects foster community pride and transform how people interact and connect with their local town centres.

Through strategic planning to ensure town centres meet their full potential as a thriving, safe and welcoming place for work, play and social connection.

In addition, we work in partnership and consult regularly with local businesses, community groups, and other Government agencies to connect people, build capacity and create local solutions and initiatives for town centres.
