Central Coast Council is committed to open, accountable and transparent government through the timely release of Council held information that is of interest to our community.

Under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act), you are entitled to see a lot of information that Council holds in records. The GIPA Act provides four ways you can access information from Council and other NSW government agencies.

Council proactively releases other information free of charge, where there is no overriding public interest against doing so. This may include reports about particular issues, plans and initiatives of Council.

Council’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) determines whether information held by Council is proactively released. All commercially sensitive information must be redacted from documents that are proactively released, plus personal identifying information to ensure Council complies with the Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998.

Previously proactively released documents can be found under the Proactively Released Documents section on the Published Documents page.

Information proactively released by Council will be made available in the most appropriate manner. Council will endeavour to make all proactively released information available on Council’s website. However, if Council does not have the permission of the Copyright holder this will not be possible. In those circumstances, the document will be able to be viewed at the Gosford or Wyong Council offices.

Council also releases a range of information related to Council projects on Your Voice Our Coast as part of consultation processes. This information remains available via this online hub after the consultation period has ended.

Council has proactively released information about the following topics.

The returns for the period 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 are available below.

The published versions of the completed returns have had residential addresses and signatures redacted to allow their publication in accordance with the GIPA Act.

Any additional redactions to the published returns have been determined by Council based on reasoning under the public interest considerations against disclosure set out in the table contained in section 14 of the GIPA Act.
